Fleet Engineer

Njord Offshore operate a fleet 19 crew transfer vessels.

We are looking for a marine engineer to join a team who travel between vessels, situated throughout Europe, assisting the
on-board crew in maintaining the vessels and rectifying outstanding defects and dealing technical issues both remotely and onsite.

Duties will include:
 Managing the defects throughout the fleet through the in-house defect management system.
 Assisting crews both remotely and on site and reporting to management
 Training and assisting new and existing crew with good maintenance
 Maintaining and repairing all aspects of the vessel, with the assistance of the vessel’s crew
 Attending and managing service agent call outs
 Attending and managing dry docking
 Sourcing required spare parts with the assistance of the purchasing manager

Qualifications/Experience should include:
 5-10 years marine engineering experience
 AEC/MEOL / STCW Engineer certified (preferred but not essential)
 Full driving license

 Solid knowledge of:-
 Marine Engines, gensets, fuel and controls systems
 3-phase 415V & 24V electrical systems
 Air-conditioning systems (preferred)

The role is a 21 day on – 21 day off rota, in a team with additional fleet engineers. While you’re on duty, we’ll
provide a Van, Tools and Accommodation either on-board the vessel you’re working on or shoreside as appropriate. You’ll
be expected to work up to 12 hours a day and be highly flexible to rapidly react to changing situations / breakdowns.

The salary would be on a day rate basis and dependent on experience. This position could be filled by a self-employed
professional.
