This policy statement explains how your personal data is handled by Njord Offshore Ltd. This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data of our Website Users, Candidates, Clients, Suppliers, Staff and other people whom we may contact. It applies to your personal data that is in the possession or under the control of Njord Offshore Ltd.

Throughout this policy statement, “Njord” refers to Njord Offshore Ltd. and all its affiliated companies and subsidiaries (also referred to as “we”, “our” or “us”).

  • to arrange your logistics, accommodation and access to port facilities and other premises on the vessel which you have been assigned to work;
  • to record the personal details of a Candidates or Staff member’s emergency contacts in the case of an accident or emergency affecting that Candidate or member of staff.
  • to conduct training and courses;
  • to manage the administrative and business operations of Njord;
  • for any other purposes for which we have obtained your consent, or for which you may be deemed to have provided consent as indicated at the time you provided your details.
  • to administer, support and obtain feedback on the level of our services
  • to help prevent breaches of security, the law or our contract terms
  • for direct marketing purposes


If we have not had contact with you for a period of three years, we will request consent to retain your data or delete your personal data from our systems unless such information is contained within vessel logs or we need to retain it to comply with any applicable laws or regulations for example to tax authorities or in connection with any litigation.


Who do we disclose your personal data to?


We may disclose your personal data to the relevant parties including business partners, vessel charterers, third party service providers, governmental authorities and other relevant third parties, in accordance with the purposes for which we use your personal data.


If data is transferred from within the EEA to a jurisdiction outside the EEA, it is done so under a Data Transfer Agreement, which contain standard data protection contract clauses. The European Commission has adopted standard data protection contract clauses (known as the Model Clauses) which provide safeguards for personal information that is transferred outside of Europe. We use Model Clauses when transferring personal data outside of Europe. We have CCTV on our vessels to assist with vessel operations and investigations. CCTV footage, which may include footage of you can be retained on the vessels for up to 1 month and we may retain copies of the CCTV footage for longer durations if they are exported for investigation.

  • as hard or soft copy
  • between Njord employees and entities;
  • to third parties (such as business partners or clients of Njord);
  • to overseas Clients;
  • to Clients within your country who may, in turn, transfer your data internationally;

We take reasonable care and have implemented technical, procedural and other measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, unlawful destruction or accidental loss.
